August 2008 Seed Sampler - What's going on at MSA

Here again is the annual update of MSA—what’s happened in the last year and where we hope to go. 2007-2008 has been characterized by the word “re-imagine.” We have started reimagining our organization as a network of communities, our staff as a team, and our focus as conveying the kingdom of God as a multicultural, international community of believers.
In the Seed Story, Christine writes about the process we the team have been going through to discern where we are headed, principles and values to include in a Rule of Life, and how the language of how we describe ourselves needs to change. Eliacin’s Seed Share gives a report on the conversation we have facilitated this year, and how the theme of community keeps popping up no matter what the subject of conversation is. Ricci’s new blog The Revolution Starts at Home has just gone live! Read her introduction to and rationale for this new resource. In his Seed Share, Tom outlines the dream of a Celtic Community on Camano Island, where we hold the Celtic Retreat every August. We hope that community will be the rural counterpart to the urban Mustard Seed House in Seattle. And finally, Judy looks back at the beginnings of the Seed Sampler, the voice and connector of MSA to over 4000 people worldwide.
Thanks for your support of our little organization and we hope you will enjoy reading our reports and dreams for the future. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us at mail@msainfo.org.
