August 2009 Seed Sampler: Pre-Christendom Christianity
Dear Readers,
Since its beginnings, MSA has always had a connection to the ancient Celtic form of Christianity. But we have become aware of the many other ancient Christian traditions that have just as much to teach about God and God’s plan.
In this issue, we have part of a dissertation by Shonnie Scott, one of our board members, describing the earliest house churches of the apostolic era. Brent Lyons Lee talks about similarities between Aboriginal and Celtic spirituality. I wrote a little survey of the influence of Eastern monasticism on the Celtic saints, and there are book reviews from the internet on two important books. Hope you enjoy!
Blessings,
Judy Naegeli
